Prominent business, industry and community leaders were among around 130 supporters who attended the Official Launch of the Every Child initiative, at events in Rockhampton, Emerald, Gladstone and Biloela. the effort was proudly supported by Stanwell Power Station.

Keynote Speaker
Karni Liddell, Australian Paralympic swimmer and National Disability Insurance Scheme Champion for Queensland, hosted the event.

‘There are some quite harsh realities for today’s children and we, as leaders, need to reflect and decide whether we are doing enough.’ 

Len Richards, Chief Executive, CQ Hospital and Health Service. Len’s presentation.

‘We know that if you can get kids to age 8 in reasonable shape then you massively boost their life chances. This [collective impact] is absolutely crushing common sense. Through it we can illuminate the obvious-understand the essence of the problem-and then get organised to do something about it.’
